Work Injury - Effective in Treatment of Occupational
Injuries

Back pain is, without a doubt, the #1 cause
of worker's time lost and compensation dollars spent in Canada. The fact
that the majority of the population will experience back pain at some
point during their lifetime is alarming. Back pain and other
musculoskeletal diseases are noted for
|
causing
a deterioration in the quality of life by resulting in increased
disability, limited activity, physical pain, and impairment. What is
needed is an effective course of treatment that relieves pain and helps
prevent reinjury.
Our program of treatment provides effective relief for many sprain or
strain injuries that requires no hospitalization, surgery, or
medication. Chiropractic care, which is the first step in treatment,
utilizes the body's inherent recuperative powers and the relationship
between the spinal column, nervous system and the rest of the body to
restore and maintain good health. In our experience with industrial and
occupational injuries, we know how important it is to the patient to
return to work quickly and yet at the same time with as complete of a
recovery as possible. We work with our patients to reach this goal. A
program of exercise is suggested to strengthen supporting muscles of the
spine. Our patient education program on proper spinal mechanics is
instrumental in preventing future injuries. These steps have been
successful in returning many patients to their normal and productive
lifestyles. |
